Celebrating Unity Day: Our Commitment to Kindness, Acceptance, and Inclusion

World with kids holding hands with a heart outlining the world.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers,

Today, we're joining communities around the globe to celebrate Unity Day!

Held every October during National Bullying Prevention Month, Unity Day is all about coming together to build a healthier world for our kids. How do we do that? With three powerful ingredients: kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

We want to recognize the incredible effort that goes into making our school and community a safe, welcoming, and vibrant place for every student. This movement, started by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011, reminds us that when we stand together, we can make a real difference in preventing bullying.

How can you help?
We encourage you to take a few moments today to talk with your children about:
  1. Bullying prevention: What it looks like and what they can do if they see it.
  2. The power of positive action: Simple things like inviting someone new to play, standing up for a friend, or offering a kind word can make our community stronger.

By having these conversations at home, you reinforce the positive behaviors we teach at school.

Let's continue to work together to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and included!
